excellent quality of leather was the first what I captured. They fit very comfortable. My size is 43, I ordered 43 and it fit perfectly.

I have two pairs of Royals and this Mercury.
I would therefore like to compare these models, as the "Royal" model gets 4.5 stars from me.

The Royal is nearly perfect. When it's new, it's extremely noticeable that the heel doesn't have a good grip in the shoe when walking; the heel always slips a little upwards.
But this gets noticeably better after 3-4 trips/days and is then no longer a point of criticism.
There are also insoles covered with leather. My foot slips a bit in the shoe, so I exchanged the insole for a standard sneaker insole with a suede cover!

To the Mercury:
It is very good that the shoe is partially lined with suede on the inside. This ensures a perfect fit in the shoe (especially on the heel).
What I don't like here is the leather-covered insole as well, which I exchanged for a different insole.
Overall, the Mercury in the forefoot area is significantly wider than the Royal. But in same size as the Royal a few millimeters shorter (?).
From a purely optical point of view, the shoe is less sporty (looks a bit like an orthopedic shoe) and therefore I don't like it as much as the Royal....
With this experience now, I would not order the Mercury in black again, but definitely the Royal in black.

I can basically still say about the size chart: 294mm for size 45 - my foot is 290mm and the shoe is very tight in length. Size 46 is way too big for me again...(?)

This is my 4th pair of Jak shoes, They are great quality and are sexy af! Clean lines, minimal look, can never go wrong with a this simple yet elegant silhouette, fit fine, I wear 10.5 US and have wide feet, and ordered sz 44, they’re a tiny bit long but no an issue at all, and they don’t squeeze my wide feet. I look forward to my next Jak shoes!

I never post reviews, but I think this company deserves it.

I bought these shoes via Opumo about 1 month ago. I bought them because I loved the look from the side as it makes these shoes stand out from the dozens of other "minimal sneakers". I contacted Jak's customer support to enquire about the sizing, and they responded quite fast.

The grey has a "blueish" hue, which I was a bit unsure about at the beginning, but now I like it.

In the past month I've worn them 2-3 times per week (min 7 hours each time) and I'm surprised by how well the leather is holding up. I have another pair of full grain sneakers (Svensson), which I've given them the same "beating" as these Jak shoes. The Svenssons had creased so badly after 1 month, and even started to show defects on the leather after 1 week. The Jaks, 1 month after look pristine, and the creases on the leather don't look bad at all.

I would have liked to have Margom soles on these ones as I hear they are extremely durable. But the soles are holding up really good! Only time will tell how good :)

The shoes are surprisingly lightweight, and comfortable. Although they took me like 1-2 weeks to break in.

The inner sole, although not removable, is quite "cushiony" and comfortable.

The only 2 things I dislike is that the laces are not that great (I'll have to buy some new ones). Also, the metallic eyelets are staining the laces in black (probably due to oxidisation), which ruin the look on the shoes as it makes them look dirty when in reality they're not.

Overall, awesome job guys! I'll keep coming back for more :)

Excellent, essential sneakers- I loved them!

Good quality leather, sturdy sole i can only compare these with thursday sneakers and they look wayyy better quality. Not very comfortable at first, you'll need to break them in, but for me its a plus. Cannot way to see how they last after few seasons.

Fits true to size. Repeat purchases from Jak. The sneakers never disappoint in terms of quality and value. The designs are also sleek and timeless, perfect for any occasion.

This is my third pair of JAK shoes, as always decent quality.

Good shoe. The lights shining on the shoe in the advertisement make the shoe look better than the real thing. Decent comfort. Reasonably priced based on material and competition in the sneaker industry.

Awesome quality. I had to go with 1 size bigger (used to wear 39, but only 40 fits well). Sneakers itself are very robust quality. I order similar collection 3 years ago. So previous pair of sneakers lasted for 3 years with a very frequent wearing in different weather conditions. So they sewed very well and quality leather with a certain care will make you happy for quite some years.

Quality packaging and most importantly content, even the shown trees smell like the material.
